Your wedding day is approaching, but when should you schedule your lash lift, brow lamination, and makeup trial? Here's my complete bridal beauty countdown.
Every bride wants to look like the best version of herself on her wedding day, and that means planning beauty appointments in the right order, at the right time. Book too early, and the results will have faded. Book too late, and there's no buffer if something needs adjusting. Here's the exact bridal beauty timeline I recommend to every bride who walks through the studio.
6 Months Out
This is when to start trialling treatments you've never had before. If you've been curious about a Korean lash lift, brow lamination, or a particular spray tan shade, try each one now while there's still room to adjust. You'll know by the time the wedding rolls around exactly which treatments, finishes, and timings suit you best.
3 Months Out
Lock in your bridal bookings. Spots fill fast, especially for weekend and peak-season weddings. Secure your lash, brow, makeup, and spray tan appointments now, along with any pre-wedding treatments for your bridal party.
4, 6 Weeks Out: The Makeup Trial
Your makeup trial is the most important beauty appointment in the lead-up. Bring inspiration photos, wear a white or cream top to mimic your dress, and plan the trial for a day you'll be photographed so you can see how the makeup holds up and photographs. Don't be afraid to give honest feedback, better to tweak now than on the morning.
3, 4 Weeks Out: Hair Removal & Skin Reset
If you're having any waxing done, book it now, skin has time to calm and any rare reactions have time to clear. This is also a good window for a deep facial or any skin treatments that require downtime.
1, 2 Weeks Out: Brow Lamination
Lamination peaks in appearance between days 3 and 10, so a window of 1 to 2 weeks before the wedding is ideal. Add a tint and wax to the same appointment so brows are shaped, coloured, and sculpted in one session.
5, 7 Days Out: Lash Lift
A lash lift with tint done a week before the wedding will be at its absolute best on the day. Lashes will be fully lifted, the tint deeply set, and any initial tenderness long settled.
1, 2 Days Before: Spray Tan
Spray tans look their best on day two, fully developed, evenly toned, and settled into the skin. Book yours for the morning two days before the wedding, take your rinse shower that evening, and you'll wake up on the wedding morning with a flawless, photo-ready glow.
The Morning Of
Keep it simple: a light breakfast, plenty of water, and a button-up shirt so your hair and makeup aren't disturbed when you put on your dress. Your beauty team has already done the work, now it's your turn to enjoy the day.
