A lash lift only works as well as the canvas it's applied to. The treatment itself is gentle, but the chemistry needs a clean lash line to grip and a relaxed eye area to set the curl evenly. A few small preparation steps in the 24 hours before your appointment make a real difference, both to how the lift takes and to how long it lasts.
The Day Before Your Appointment
- Skip mascara, eyeliner and any oil-based skincare around the eye area.
- Avoid sunbeds, saunas and any treatment that flushes the eye area.
- Drink water. A hydrated lash holds the lift better than a dehydrated one.
On the Morning Of
- Arrive with clean, makeup-free lashes. A gentle wash is plenty.
- Avoid coffee right before your appointment if you tend to flutter.
- Wear something comfortable. You'll be lying down for around an hour.
- Bring sunglasses if you're sensitive to light, especially in summer.
What to Expect at the Studio
Every lash lift at Bondi Aesthetic Room begins with a short consultation about your lashes, your eye shape, and the curl shape that will flatter you most. The treatment itself is painless, your eyes stay closed throughout, and many clients fall asleep. A nourishing serum is brushed through at the end and aftercare advice is sent to your phone before you leave.
After the Lift
Keep your lashes dry and avoid steam, oil-based cleansers and mascara for the first 24 hours. After that, return to your normal routine. Brush your lashes gently with a clean spoolie each morning, sleep on your back where possible, and skip waterproof mascara — the remover is the enemy. With this routine most clients hold the lift cleanly for six to seven weeks before rebooking.
